Tree care led by a certified arborist
Trees are usually the biggest, oldest and most valuable living things on a property, and they’re also the ones that can do the most damage when something goes wrong. Our team includes an ISA Certified Arborist, so our tree work is guided by the International Society of Arboriculture’s standards rather than guesswork.
We’re also NCCER safety certified, fully insured and rated A+ by the BBB. Big trees near houses, fences and power lines are dangerous work, and those credentials are there to protect you as much as us.
What we do
Our tree services cover the whole life of a tree, from shaping a young one to clearing an old one after a storm:
- Tree trimming and pruning to remove deadwood, clear roofs and driveways, and build strong structure
- Tree removal for dead, dying, dangerous or badly placed trees
- Stump grinding, after a removal or as a standalone job
- 24/7 storm damage cleanup when wind, hail or ice bring trees down
- New tree planting and staking, which you can see on our projects page
Trees in the Big Country
Abilene’s trees live hard lives. Summers regularly pass 100°F, dry spells can last for months, and spring thunderstorms bring high wind and hail. Soils range from heavy clay to thin ground over caliche, which limits how deep roots can go and how much water they can reach.
The common trees here each have their quirks. Live oaks and other oaks are vulnerable to oak wilt, so when they’re pruned matters. Pecans are known for dropping large limbs, sometimes on calm summer afternoons. Mesquite will sprout right back from a stump that isn’t ground low enough. Knowing those habits is a big part of caring for trees in West Texas.
How a tree job goes
Call or text (325) 518-8031, or send the estimate form. We’ll set a time to look at the trees with you, explain what we recommend and why, and give you a clear, free estimate. On the day of the job, our crew does the work safely and cleans up when we’re finished.
