Landscaping built for West Texas
Abilene yards deal with long, hot summers, steady wind, dry spells and the occasional downpour. The ground can be heavy clay in one yard and thin soil over caliche in the next. Landscaping that still looks good after its first summer has to be planned around all of that: plants that take the heat, surfaces that don’t need constant water, and grading that sends rain away from the house.
What we install
Our landscaping and hardscape services include:
- Sod installation for a new lawn or a worn-out one
- Yard leveling to smooth low spots, ruts and bumps
- Flower beds, designed and planted for local weather, plus shrubs and small trees
- River rock beds for clean, low-water landscaping
- Drainage solutions for standing water and runoff
- Paver and flagstone patios, walkways and stepping stones
- Pergolas and arbors for shade and structure
Trees first, then the yard
Because we’re a tree service too, we can take care of the big work before the landscaping starts: removing a tree that’s in the way, grinding the stump, or raising a canopy so new grass gets enough light. One crew handles both, so there’s no waiting on a second company.
Water-wise choices
Rock, mulch and well-chosen plants cut down on watering. Drip irrigation puts water at the roots instead of on the sidewalk; you can see it in the porch flower bed on our projects page. Before planning a new lawn or bed, check the City of Abilene’s current watering schedule so your plans fit the rules.
